All Hampshire juniors are invited to enter the Basingstoke Rapidplay Congress on Saturday, April 26th at the splendid Basingstoke College of Technology in Worting Road, Basingstoke. This is the first rated rapidplay in Basingstoke for many years.
The are two sections for juniors:
1. An ECF rated Under-18 rapidplay of six rounds with a R20′ + 5″ time control. Entry fee is £30
2. An unrated Under-18 rapidplay of seven rounds with a R20′ + 0″ time control. Entry fee is £10

Last Chance SaloonDelancey UK Schools Chess Challenge
Hampshire Junior Chess Association is running a Last Chance Saloon for the UK Chess Challenge on Saturday, April 6th at Basingstoke Chess Club. The entry fee will be £5.
This event is for children (primary and secondary aged) who have yet to qualify to the Megafinal stage of the Delancey UK Schools Chess Challenge.
The Hampshire Megafinal is taking place on Sunday, April 22nd 2018 in the splendid environs of Perin’s School, Pound Hill, New Alresford, Hampshire SO24 9BS.
If your child has qualified to the Megafinal stage and your school postcode is a Hampshire one then this is the correct Megafinal to enter.
Alternatively, if this is your nearest Megafinal then you may enter even if your school postcode is not a Hampshire one.
